December 20, 1946 – The Frank Capra film “It’s A Wonderful Life” had a preview showing for charity at New York City’s Globe Theatre, a day before its “official” world premiere. James Stewart and Donna Reed star in the film.

On This Day

December 19, 1972 – The Apollo lunar-landing program ends when the last three astronauts to travel to the moon splash down safely in the Pacific Ocean. Apollo 17  had lifted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, 10 days before.

The inspiration for my design comes from the soft glow of christmas lights. I love how they can make any room feel cozy and cheerful regardless of the weather outside. For this card I wanted something a bit different than the traditional Christmas tree lights and opted for the festive gleam of vintage party lights.
