tranquility

Rising
To the sounds of the perfect morning
The waves and birds beckoning me
To start the new day

Feeling
The still cool sand underneath
Contrasted by warm inviting water
Gently lapping at my feet

Refreshed
By the peaceful night’s rest
And tranquility of my stroll by the sea
Now ready for the new day

Awakening
I felt the cold wind
And heard the rustle of fall leaves
Through my open window

Reminiscing
About the smell and taste of salt in the air
And the sound of gently crashing waves
On a white sandy beach

Anticipating
The next time I can feel the warmth
And swim away into
Caribbean Blue
