Ann Hunt and Elizabeth Hamel, Twin Sisters, Reunite After 78 Years Apart

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — It’s been 78 years since Ann Hunt and Elizabeth Hamel were last together — in their mother’s womb.

Do Great Things Today

I was inspired this weekend by the work of Jaime Rojo and Steven P. Harrington, founders of Brooklyn Street Art. To simplify things a bit, Jaime wanders the streets of New York City with open eyes, actually paying attention to the wonders of the world around us. (More on their work at the end of this piece.)

Building a Bigger Action Hero

Men’s Journal

So today I challenge you to…

Sourdough Climbers

The first people to climb Mount McKinley did it to win a bet.

It all started when a group of guys were talking in a Fairbanks saloon one cold November in 1909. Dr. Frederick Cook had just published a book claiming he made it to the top of Mount McKinley. Those at the bar were all convinced the famous explorer was lying. Alaskans didn’t believe some fancy man from the city could have done it. The bar owner said he didn’t believe anyone could do it.

April Fools’ Day: Origin and History

The uncertain origins of a foolish day

by David Johnson and Shmuel Ross

April Fools’ Day, sometimes called All Fools’ Day, is one of the most light-hearted days of the year. Its origins are uncertain. Some see it as a celebration related to the turn of the seasons, while others believe it stems from the adoption of a new calendar.
